Hoccheim is the corner-stone of the Rheingau region. Because of the specific terroir, the mineral-rich, chalky soil and the special micro-climate, the Hochheim Riesling has intense elegant character with rich aromas and fresh but moderate acidity.
From the glorious vintage 2007 a wonderful fruity Riesling in the traditional style in
perfect harmony between delicate sweetness and elegant acidity; clean lively fruitiness,
rich aromas from mature apple, peach and apricot; full mineral substance with good
density; crisp and fresh; moderate in alcohol ( only 8,6 %). Refreshing and appealing
enjoyment versatile for many dishes right through the menu from pate to fishes and light
meat with creamy sauce, delicate cheeses and dessert prepared from natural fruits, as well
on its own, sitting at the fire-place with friends, literature and music or on the terrace in a
warm summer night .
