| This wine is composed of grapes from three old vine sites sources located off Piner Road in the southern end of the Russian River appellation. Each has its charms and brought something different to the assemblage. In the final blend Bacigalupi (23%) brings brambly blackberry flavors and mid palate richness, Gaddis (32%) brings backbone and structure, and Gambogi (45%) brings intriguing chocolate and claret-like aromatics and flavors.It spent 16 months in American Oak (40% new). Only 448 cases made. |
