| This wine is a medium bodied white. Verdelho grapes came from Spain and Portugal where it and the Albarino grape are the white wine stars. It is a great alternative to Chardonnay and has rich creaminess on the finish. The Clarksburg appellation is ideal for producing top quality Verdelho, mainly due it its climate. As the Sacramento Valley heats up during the day, it pulls in the cool maritime breeze from the bay, which allows warm summer days and cool evenings. |

Each vintage brings about a renewed appeal for this delicious variety and 2007 is no different. Aromas of honeysuckle, banana, orange peel and tropical fruit burst forward on the nose. The palate is defined by vibrant flavors of green apple, citrus, and melon that mingle with crisp acidity. The finish is harmonious, repeating the tropical fruit theme. Paired with oysters, Dry Creek Chenin Blanc is a match made in heaven! |
